Christina Maas is a marine ecologist, self-published author and watercolor artist. She has traveled the world studying the sea. Her stories and watercolor art are inspired by her travels and passion for marine life. Originally from Newburyport, Massachusetts, USA, Christina developed a passion for coral reef ecosystems during trips to the Cayman Islands as a child. She spent a portion of her adult life in Queensland, Australia where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology and Graduate Diploma of Research Methods in Tropical Marine Ecology and Fisheries Biology from James Cook University in Townsville. She later earned a Master of Science in International Studies in Aquatic Tropical Ecology at the University of Bremen, Germany. Christina now resides in Lower Saxony, Germany with her husband and three children on a beautiful lake where she enjoys painting and paddleboarding and dreaming about the sea.
